| WALTHAM FOREST SOUTH COUNTY
CENTENARY BANNER
On the 20th October 2007, Ist Leyton Scout Group were guests of
Leyton Orient Football Club, for their home game in division 1,
against Port Vale.
The event celebrated not only Scouting’s centenary, but also
the Clubs “football in the community” programme, and
also “football against racism.”
At half time, with Orient one goal down, the group were invited
on to the pitch, where the Group’s chairman was permitted
to take photographs, alongside a photographer from Waltham Forest
Guardian newspaper.
Supporters at the match responded with loud applause, as the group
left the pitch.
By full time, the Orient had won the game 3-1, to round off a great
occasion for all who attended.
