In With the New and Out With the Old – I am Proud to introduce you to the new and improved Waltham Forest South District Networkers. The Waltham Forest South District has come about due to the merging of Walthamstow District and Leyton District.

Move Around Now – Please be aware that I have now moved the pictures that I have created of some of the Networkers to the Photos Page under the Mug shots Album.

We are back in Action – I am very proud to say that the Walthamstow District Networkers site is back. Sorry for the long over due update but I have had some trouble getting into the website.

We’re back from Hollywood (sorry no Oscars) – as I’m sure your aware we went Hollywood Bowl (hence the title) on sat 18th February.  I would like to say thank you to the people that turned up (all 6 of us). We had a really good night, with Gemma picking up 7 Strikes and me doing a very good trick shot (didn’t even know I did it).

Do not pass Go Do not Collect £200 – Monopoly Run is a real game of Monopoly, with the object of the event being to make your way around the board. Teams have to consist of five, and you have to take a photo at each location to prove that you were there. The teams have a total of 14 hours, over a two-day period, to complete this, competing against other teams. The event will be catered for and there will be a disco on Friday and Saturday evening. For any more details see the Events Page

In my Day There is now a memories page on the forum it’s under Events. This is for you all to enter your memories you have of any scouting memories you have. Like the time when Graham spent the whole day calling Nicky Hobbit Feet

All Hail Our New Leader- As I’m sure most of you are aware Sarah has now taken over the role of Walthamstow District Networkers Co-ordinater so I hope that you give her as much grief and Headaches that we gave Graham. Only Joking

Explorer Belt Opportunity The following e-mail was sent to Graham by the county (Craig)
My names Arun Koshal and I’m the GLMW county network chairman. I'd thought I’d contact you with some information as you our neighboring county. My County are running an explorer belt expedition to Switzerland next year for network within the ages of 17 1/2 to 25. We are already taking members from our county but we want to take a mixture of people to create more of a national team. I have enclosed our main campaign poster but one thing I have to say even though it mentions £600 it is not the price it is much lower because for doing the explorer belt you get automatic funding from national level at from most boroughs. I went to Canada to complete my award with Birmingham and Catvog so I have had plenty of experience but my core team are also well rounded with plenty of international experience. Could you pass the information to your network members and we'd like to take a contingent from as many counties across the country as possible. This is our chance to link the counties together to make Network scouting a little more enjoyable as I found out by meeting other network people from across the country. I look forward to your response.

Remember Explorer Belt can count as your QSA Expedition
If anyone is Interested in taking up Aruns Offer then please e mail Graham or Sarah
